This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Carole Gibson ==================================================================================== Book L, page 324: Deed 1000 acres; Alexander Ewing to Robert Jarmon 1818 This Indenture made this Twenty first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & eighteen by & Between Alexander Ewing of the County of Davidson, State of Tennessee of the one part & Robert Jarmon of the Conty of Wilson & State aforesaid & of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of five thousand ($5,000) to him the said Ewing in hand paid do bargain, sell & deliver & do by these presents bargain, sell & deliver to the said Robert Jarmon a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Rutherford and the state aforesaid on the waters of Bradlee's Creek a Branch of the East fork of Stones River & bounded as follows (to wit). Beginning on two Black Oaks a North East corner to a tract of land of three thousand eight hundred & forty acres granted to Tilmon Dixon running thence West five hundred and senty poles to an ash & horn beam in James Gibson's East boundary line then South with said line two hundred and eighty three poles to a Red Oak said Gibson's south East corner thence East five hundred and seventy poles to a Stake, thence North two hundred & eighty three poles to the beginning -- containing by estimation one thousand acres, the same more or less to have and to hold to him the said Jarmon, his heirs & assigns forever & I, the said Ewing, ...
