Bottoms ==================================================================== Book O – Page 19 – No. 18 – 1821 James Williams to William Foster – Bill of Sale Know all men by these present that I James Williams of the County of Bedford and State of Tennessee have this day bargained, sold & delivered unto William Foster of the County of Rutherford and State aforesaid one Negro girl about sixteen years old named Peg and one child about four months old name Franklin for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars and seventy five dollars to me the said Williams in hand paid by the said Foster the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and I the said James Williams my heirs and executors unto said William Foster his heirs and assigns forever will I warrant & forever defend the aforesaid woman & child against person or person, claim or claims whatsoever.
