This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Carole Gibson ==================================================================================== Book U page 156: deed William Gibson to Moses Gibson; 48 acres 1835/1835 This Indenture made this seventeenth day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty five, between William Gibson of Rutherford County and Stae of Tennessee of the one part, and Moses Gibson of the county of Rutherford and State of Tennessee of the other part, witnesseth that the said William Gibson for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and eighty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Moses Gibson, the receipt which is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth give , grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey & confirm unto the said Moses Gibson his heirs and assignees forever a certain tract, piece or parcel of land, situate lying and being in the county of Rutherford and State of Tennessee, on Bradley's Creek described as follows. Beginning on a stake, White's Northwest corner, thence north 88 degrees west with an old marked line sixty seven and a half poles to a beech & dogwood, thence South one hundred and fifteen and a half poles to a stake in Donnell's lines thence South 88 degrees East with his line and passing his corner in all sixty five and a half poles to a stake White's corner, thence North with his line to the beginning containing by survey forty eight acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights, profits, em[]ments, h[]ments and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any way appertaining to the only proper use, benefits and behalf of him the said Moses Gibson his heirs and assignees forever. And the said William Gibson for himself his heirs executors or administrators, do covenant and [ ] to and with the said Moses Gibson heirs or assignes, that the before recited land and bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against the right, tile (?), in trust or claim of all and any person or persons whomsoever.
