Book X, page 348:  Bill of Sale; Matthew Gibson to Daniel Nelson    1839

For and in consideration of the sum of sixteen hundred dollars to me in hand
paid by Daniel Nelson, I have bargained, sold and delivered unto the said Nelson
four negro slaves for life, man, Willis, woman Levi and child girl Malinda the
title of which negroes I warrant and defend to the said Nelson against my heirs,
administrators or assignees and against any other person or persons [whatever ]
to the said Nelson and his heirs forever.  As witness my hand and seal this 13th
April 1839.

State ofTennessee  }  Personally [appeared] before me, Robert S. Morris, Clerk
of the county court of said county Rutherford County }  the foregoing named
Matthew Gibson the bargainer with whom I am personally acquainted and who
acknowledgeed that he executed the foregoing Bill of Sale for the purposes
therein contained.  Witness my hand at off this 13th day of April 1839.
