Bottoms ==================================================================== Book U – Page 402 – No. 454 Kitty Keas to Obadiah Cole – Deed 50 acres This indenture made this third day of June, one thousand eight hundred and thirty four between Kitty Keas of the County of Wilson and Obadiah Cole of the County of Rutherford and both of the State of Tennessee. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty Dollars paid to me in hand by the said Obadiah Cole, hath bargained, sold and released to the said Obadiah Cole, a certain tract of land lying in the County of Rutherford and State aforesaid, on the waters of Bradley’s bank and joining Philadelphia, containing fifty acres more or less and bounded as follows. Beginning at Philadelphia Springs, running North 123 poles to a Birch in the north boundary line of the old Survey, thence East 66 poles to an Ironwood and Hackberry, thence South 123 poles to the middle of the bank, thence down the bank to the beginning with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, and I said Kitty Keas do warrant and forever defend the right and title of said land unto the said Obadiah Cole, his heirs and assigns forever against my self, my heirs or any other person or persons claiming the same or any part thereof.
