Bottoms ==================================================================== Book B Page 111 – No. 139 – 1804 Henry Key & Janet Key to Thomas Stuart – March 29th 1806 This Indenture made this twenty eighth day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred and four between Henry Key and Janet Key, wife of said Henry and daughter of John Stuart deceased of the one part and Thomas Stuart of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Henry Key and Janet Key for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these present do bargain and sell to the said Thomas Stuart his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situated in the County of Rutherford containing five hundred acres, be the same more or less, being part of tract of one thousand acres granted by the State of North Carolina to William Rea consequences of the service of Richard Shewil Walker, on the waters of the East fork of Stones River. Beginning on a Hickory on a Bluff being the South West corner of a tract of land of Thomas Blair of six hundred and forty acres thence South two hundred and eight four poles to a Buckeye the North West corner of William Crory’s survey, thence East two hundred and eighty two poles with William Crory’s line to a stake, thence North two hundred and eighty four poles to a stake on Blair’s line, thence West with said line two hundred and eighty two poles to the beginning with the appurtenances to have and to hold the said five hundred acres of land and every part and parcel thereof to the said Thomas Stuart his heirs and assigns forever, and all the right, title and interest of the said Henry Key and Janet Key or either of them, to the same either by virtue of any will of said John Stuart or by virtue of said Janet being one of the heirs of said John Stuart, to the only right use of the said Thomas Stuart, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Henry Key and Janet Key, for themselves and theirs do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Thomas Stuart and his heirs that they will forever warrant and defend the said tract and every part thereof to said Thomas Stuart and his heirs against the title and claim of said Henry Key & Janet Key or either of them and against the title and claim of all persons claiming under them or either of them.
