Ambrose McKee to Joshua Creech} Deed 43 acres This indenture made this twenty

second day of December in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty

three between Ambrose McKee of the State of Tennessee and County of Rutherford

of the one part, and Joshua Creech, of the same County and State of the other

part, Witnesseth, that the said Ambrose McKee for and in consideration of the

sum of one hundred and twenty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Joshua

Creech, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted,

bargained, sold, and confirmed, unto the said Joshua Creech, his heirs and

assignees forever, a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the

County and State aforesaid, on the waters of the East fork of Stones River

containing by a [late?] survey forty three acres, the lines running as follows.

Beginning at a White Oak and Hackberry, thence West one hundred poles to an

Ironwood and HawBush, thence South seventy poles to a small Elm in George Smith,

and thence east ninety-five poles to the beginning. To Have and to hold the

lands hereby conveyed, with and singular the premises and every part and parcel

thereof, with every appurtenances unto the said Joshua Creech, his heirs and

assignees forever, and the said Ambrose McKee, for himself his heirs Executors,

and Administrators, do covenant promise and agree to and with the said Joshua

Creech his heirs and assignees by these presents that the premises before

mentioned, now are and forever hereafter shall remain free of and from all

former and other gifts, grants, bargained, sold, dower right and title of dower

Judgements, Executions, titles, troubles, charges, and in encumbrances

whatsoever done or suffered to be done by the said Ambrose McKee or any other

person. In Witness whereof the said Ambrose McKee hath hereunto set his and seal

this day and year above written:
