John B. McKee to James McKee Sr.; deed 100 acres



This Indenture made this the thirteenth day of January in the year of our Lord,

one thousand eight hundred and thirty six, between John B. McKee of the County

of Rutherford and State of Tennessee of the one part, and James McKee Senr. of

the County and State aforesaid of the other part; witnesseth, that for and in

consideration of the sum of Four hundred and fifty dollars to him the said John

B. McKee in hand paid by the said James McKee Senr. the receipt and payment

whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, bargained and sold and

confirmed, unto the said James McKee Senr. a certain tract or parcel of land

containing one hundred acres be the same more or less lying and being in the

County of Rutherford and State aforesaid, and bounded as follows, to wit.

Beginning at a Sugartree the South East corner of William Thoması Survey, thence

north with his line one hundred and ninety one poles to a Sour oak and Cedar on

James Sanderıs line, thence west with said Sanderıs line eighty three and eight

tenth poles to an Hornwood and Ash, thence South one hundred and thirty one

poles to a small Hickory and pile of rocks on Iveyıs line, thence East eighty

three and eight tenth poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid

land with all and singular the rights and appurtenances to the same belonging or

in any way appertaining, to the only proper use and benefit of him the said

James McKee Senr. his heirs and assignees forever and the said John B. McKee for

himself, his heirs, executors & administrators do hereby agree to warrant and

defend the said tract of land and bargained premises against the right, title,

claim and interest of all and every person or persons whatsoever to the said

James McKee his heirs and assignees forever. In testimony whereof the said John

B. McKee hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first

above written.
