RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - State of Tennessee to William Patterson, 20 Jan 1809 ----¤¤¤---- Land Records, Rutherford County Roll No. 25 Book A, Page 488 The State of Tennessee No. 812 To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know Ye, that by virtue of part of Warrant No. 1313 dated the 10 day of July 1784 issued to William Patterson by John Armstrong entry officer of claims for the North Carolina Western lands and entered on the 17 day of August 1807 by No. 192- There is granted by the said State of Tennessee, unto William Patterson and his Heirs A certain tract of parcel of land, containing one thousand one hundred and sixty seven acres, lying in Rutherford County in the second District, sixth range and seventh Section. Beginning at a white oak on the North boundary line of said Section five hundred and thirty poles West from the north East corner there of, running thence West with said Section line crossing a creek seven hundred and fifty poles to two ironwoods a small white oak and red bud in the east boundary line of a tract of land Granted to A. McCoy thence with his line South and passing his South east corner, in all two hundred and eighteen poles to a white oak and elm in the north boundary line of a tract of five thousand acres of land in the name of Matthias Hoover, thence with said line East crossing a small Creek in all seven hundred and fifty poles to an ash, thence North two hundred and eighty poles (crossing two branches) to the Beginning. Surveyed August 25, 1808 with the Hereditaments and ---- appurtenances; to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the said William Patterson and his heirs forever. In witness whereof, John Sevier Governor of the State of Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the great seal of the State to be affixed, at Knoxville on the twenty eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine and of the Independence of the United States the thirty third.
