Davis of the county and state last aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Isaac Shelby and Moses Ridley jointly and severally for and in consideration of the sum of eighteen dollars to them in hand paid the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged doth by these presents relinquish, quit claim, give up and surrender all right title claim in demand whatsoever to the following described tract or parcel of land lying situate and being in the county of Rutherford in the Ate of Tennessee or Hots Spring branch beginning at a poplar the north west corner of the tract as originally claimed by said Isaac Shelby thence south seven and one half poles to Barksdales north boundary line thence north said line east to the center of Hots Spring Branch thence with the meanders of said branch down the same to said Shelby’s north boundary line crosses said branch, thence west with said Davis south boundary to the beginning containing two acres and one hundred and thirty eight poles be the same more or less to have and to hold the previous with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said William H. Davis his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Isaac Shelby and Moses Ridley for themselves their heirs executors and administrators doth covenant and agree to and on the said William H. Davis, his heirs and assigns to the aforesaid bargained premises unto the said William H. Davis his heirs and assigns will forever warrant and defend against the claim of them the said Isaac Shelby and Moses Ridley their administrators and executors unto the said William H. Davis his heirs and assigns. In witness whereof the said Isaac Shelby by his attorney in fact William Brady and the said Moses Ridley hath him to set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
