All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Carole Gibson ********************************************************************************************************** Rutherford County Deeds (from TSLA microfilm roll #112 Book R, page 321 Daniel Winsett to Franklin McClarin; 100 acres This Indenture made this twenty second day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven, between Daniel Winsett of the county of Rutherford & State of Tennessee of the one part and Franklin McClarin of the county of Williamson & State aforesaid of the other part, Witneseth, that the said Daniel Winsett for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, conveyed, sold, aliened, & confirmed, and doth by these presents, grant, bargain, sell,, alien & confirm, unto the said Franklin McClarin, his heirs & assignees forever a certain tract of land, lying in the county of Rutherford & State of Tennessee on the head waters of a Branch of Stewarts Creek of Stones River, containing by estimation one hundred acres it being a part of a tract originally owned by John Bush of nine hundred and fourteen acres; Beginning on said Bushıs South boundary at a Black oak, thence west one hundred & forty poles to a Hickory Bushıs south west corner, thence north one hundred & sixty poles to an Ironwood, thence East sixty poles to a white oak thence South running as many degrees East as will strikes the beginning. [ ] one hundred acres. To have and to hold the above bargained and [sold?] premises with all and every of the appurtenances, to the use & behoof of the said Franklin McClarin his heirs & assignees forever, and the said Daniel Winsett for himself & his legal representations forever to maintain & warrant the right of said land & premises against the lawful claims of all & every person.
