His name is on the 1832 list and in the 1840 Census. He was born about 1763 in North Carolina. He served in North Carolina troops and was in the battles of Cowpens. Guilford Court House and King's Mountain. Note: He died in Rutherford County, in 1850. He married Elizabeth Currey, born 1773, died 1828.
