Wills and Inventories of Rutherford County, TN - Volume I

27 Nov 1834 - Settlement with the administrator of Thomas Hamilton, deceased. We 
proceeded to settle with M. Hamilton, admr of Thos. Hamilton, deceased, and have 
found that the only affects of the deceased consisted of the half pay as a 
Captain of the Virginia State Line in the army of the Revolution, which amounted 
to the sum of $11,028.80, one fourth of this sum we find was a contract to John 
M. Walker and G. W. Gaines. The sum of six dollars was paid by said administrator 
to John R. Laughlin, Clerk of the County Court for (illegible). We allowed said 
admr for his commission, $245.62. Signed by A. J. Hoover, H. D. Jamison and 
Willis Snell.
