I James Gillaspie do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made. First, I direct that my funeal [sic] expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any moneys that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my executors. Secondly I want all my property sold, and I do hereby make it the duty of executors to sell all of my property which consists of one hundred & sixty acres of land be it the same more or less, one negro woman named Martha, and her child named Warren and the womans increes [sic] if there be any, also horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, household, and kitchen furniture & farming utentials [sic]. And I further more make it the duty of my executors to distribut [sic] the money that the said property brings (when sold and collected) as follows, to wit. First I will and bequeath to my son John Gillaspie five hundred dollars. Secondly I will and bequeath to my son James D. Gillaspie two hundred dollars. Thirdly I will and bequeath to my son William Gillaspie five hundred dollars. Fourthly I will and bequeath to my grand son James S. Gillaspie six hundred dollars. Fifthly I will and bequeath to the boddily [sic] heirs of Nancy Carson (my daughter) one hundred and fifty dollars. Sixly [sic] I will and bequeath to the boddily [sic] heirs of Margret Ferguson (my daughter) one hundred and fifty dollars. Seventhly now if there should be any money over and above what I have bequeathed, it is to be equely [sic] divided betwen [sic] my sons John Gillaspie and William Gillaspie and my grand son James S. Gillaspie. Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint my son John Gillaspie and Vincent Taylor Esq my executors. In witness whereof I do to this my will set my hand and seal.
