Contributor's Note:  The following accounts were copied from the Deeds 
and Day Book of John Catlett written in his own hand and presented to 
the Court at Sevierville by Joshua H. Atchley, Administrator of John 
Catlett's Estate.  Sworn to before A. Lawson, Clerk of Court, 2nd Day of 
August 1862.  This was copied from the Record Book in the Courthouse, 
Page 200 thru 204.

1 Note on Wm. C. Cannon for (Currency)  due 29th April 1860 with a 
credit of		$450.00
   twenty seven dollars the 29th of April 1860.  

1 Note on William C. Cannon for for sixty dollars (gold) due the 24th of 
January 1861.	$ 60.00

1 Note on James W. Chambers for Six Hundred and fifty dollars - due the 
1st Day of January 1859 - with a credit of four hundred & fifty dollars 
the 28th Day of April 1859.
   Also a credit of one hundred dollars the 17th of January 1862.

1 Note on James W. Chambers for four hundred & fifty dollars due the 1st 
day of January 1860. 

1 Note on John T. Toomey for One Dollar & Seventy five cents due the 
31st of May 1853.

1 Note on Wm. M. Reed for twenty one dollars (currency) due the 4th day 
of August 1862.

  		The above debts is presumed to be tolerably good.

     A List of doubtful or bad debts:

1 Note on J.M. Fox (payable to Albert Catlett) for Sixty Dollars - due 
the 1st September 1858, bearing Interest from date with a credit of 
$14.00 15th Nov 1861.

1 Note on Peter Edwards for $12.30 due the 28th day of May 1829.

1 Note on Thomas Owen for $3.75 due the 12th day of March 1821.

1 Due Bill on David House for $1.00, no date.

1 Note on C. Trotter for $7.30 due 22nd December 1837.

1 Account on Elijah Rogers dated 1838 - $12.00

1 Note on R. S. Shields for $21.00 due the 17th of December 1832 with a 
crdit of 39 pounds of beef.

1 Note on Samuel & E. Kelso due the 24th day of January 1841 for $14.00.

1 Note on John Romines due 14th April 1845 - $2.00 (to be paid in 
chairs)

   corn due the 1st of March 1832.

1 Note on John Brown given to Jonathan Esler for $30.00 with a 
   credit of $13.00 - no date.

1 Note on James Maples due 12th of March 1821 for $3.75.

(Note:  The remainder of this Deed and Day Book are "bad" debts owed to 
John Catlett by one G.W. Catlett (George) who I believe might be his 
son, but not proven at this time.)

	 56 & 57 amounting to $165.75 two thirds of that 
	 amount coming to me.
