Will Book I, page 175. Please note: this Will is very difficult to read and where possible I have transcribed it to the best of my ability. Where I am unsure of spelling I have made notes in parenthesis. State of Tennessee Sevier County Know all men by these present that I Sarah ATCHLEY have this day willed and do hereby will and bequeath to Sinthy Atchley Colrd (colored?) family and hous maden (house maid?). I do here by will and bequeath to the Said Sinthy one milch cow one sow & pigs three head of hogs for meat and so much of the house hold furnature (that is the way it is spelled in will) as she wants and also will and bequeath to Treasey Chance and J. Knight all the balance of my hogs to be divided between them and I will that Treasey Chance takes the deeds of my land and that she support Sinthy off of the proceeds of the farm. Now I Sarah Atchley being very feeble but in my right mind have made this above written my last will and testament in witness where of set my hand to Sign this the 11th day of October, 1872.
