Will Book I Sevier County, Tennessee Will of Thomas Maples... In the name of god amen. I Thomas Maples of the County of Sevier and State of Tennessee make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me heretofore made. First I direct that my boddy be decently intered at Bethel Meeting grave yard beside my beloved wife Lidia Maples. I further direct that my grave with my wife and colored girl Jane be enclosed by sealing and cover with shingle roof and my estate pay such expenses. Second any will is that my Daughter Charlotty Low have one hundred dollars over and above the Land where she lives. Third my wish and will is that my Son P. W. Maples to have the land whereon he lives that belongs and one and twenty dollars the balance of and house I sold him and my son G.M. to make a title to said land for which for which I have land in part but if he refuses that to sell the land and make him equal with the rest of my heirs to wit: Lydia Frazier, Mary Emert, Louisa Emert, Thurza Maples, G.R. Maples, G.M. Maples and Charlotta Low. Third my will and whish is that after my decease that all my money due and owing be collected and be equally divided between my above named heirs. Lastly I hereby nomanate and appoint my Son G.R. Maples to execute this my last will and testament in witnes I have hereunto Set my hand my hand and seal this the 11th day of November 1865.
