LIEUTENANT COLONEL WILLIAM MOORE



   William Moore applied for revolutionary pension while living in Smith County.

His name is on the 1832 list He was born in North Carolina about 1751. He served

as Lieutenant Colonel of an Orange County, North Carolina regiment.



   Note: He died in Smith County in December 1823. Among his children was Jane,

who married Charles Carter.
