Lancaster Witnesses: James Evans, Jesse S. Lancaster and John A. Cottrell In The name of God Amen I Lewis Ford being of Sound and disposing mind but aflicted in boddy and being convinced of the uncertainty of a continuance in this Life do make this my Last will and testament in manner and form fowling (vis) Item 1st I direct my hereinafter executor to proceed to Sell a sufficiency of my property to pay my debts in the best manner that he may think propper. Item 2nd Whereas I have given to my six oldest children a hors worth about sixty dollars and as my wish is to do equal just to all I direct sd executor to sell a sufficiency over and above what will pay my Debts to buy a hors worth that sum for my Daughter Nancy to who I wish to give the same Item 3rd And whereas I have I have given unto each of my seven Children a Neagroe a peas as well as sundries of hous hold stuffs the only remaning Negroe named Sina that I have as well as my hous hold stuffs and stock of Cattle, Hoggs and other Stock and black hors or as much as may remain after paying my debts and furnishing my Daughter Nancy with the above named hors to go to the suport of my beloved wife Ann Ford During hir natural Life and at her Death to be sold and the Money arising therefrom to be equaly divided betwixt all of my Seven children. And Lastly I do constitute and appoint John A. Lancaster my Executor whom I wish to say that the Last will and Testament is fulfilled in the manner and form above stated in testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and affixt my seal this 25th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty two.
