"Minutes of the Hiwassee United Baptist Association.
Began and held at Fellowship Meeting House Meigs County, Tennessee, on 
Friday, before the third Saturday in Sept., 1839, and following days. 
Athens, Tenn.  Frazier & Williams, Printers.  1839"

These minutes may or may not be totally complete, time has taken it's 
toll on the paper.  I only have the front and back side of one page, no 
way to tell if there were other pages -EC.

"Elder G. Galloway gave the introductory sermon, from Daniel, second
chapter, 44th verse - And in the days of these kings shall the God of 
Heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed, and the 
kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces 
and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. -

Then letters from twenty-eight Churches were read and the following 
accounts taken.

(NOTE: The first church listed is right in a tear and I'm not sure
of the name or the number of members.  The name J. Mount is clear-EC)
