East Tennesseean Print: Kingston, Tenn. 1878. According to appointment, Elder M.E. Jones delivered the introductory, from Romans, 6th chapter and 22d verse, after which an intermission of fifteen minutes was given, when the delegates again met in the house, and after prayer by the former Moderator, E.S. The Association then organized by choosing elder J.K. Chastain, Moderator and M. Sharp, Clerk 2d. An invitation given to new churches 3d. Called for corresponding letters and one received from Stockton's Valley Association, by her delegate, elder J.B. Hopkins, who was invited and took a seat with us. 4th. Appointed one delegate from each church, together with Macedonia church, a committee on Preaching. 5. Appointed J.R. Holimon and J.S. Clack a Committee on Finance. 6. Appointed J.B. McCallon, James Johnson, J.B. Waller, A.D. Morrison, T. Brown, and the Moderator and Clerk, a committee of Arrangements, also corresponding delegates invited to seats with said committee. Note - Since the adjournment of the association, Paint Rock and Galyon's Gap letters were ....... (can't read this part) 7. Appointed J.K. Chastain, A.D. Morrison, F. Wolsey, T. Brown, J.S. Clack, and R. Clack, corresponding delegates to Stockton's Valley Association, when convened at Mt. Zion, Overton county, Tenn;., the 2d Saturday in September, 1879. 8. Appointed M. Sharp Treasurer 9. The committee on preaching report for to-night Sharp and Wade. 10. Then after prayer by eld. Morrison, adjourned till Saturday morning, 9 o'clock. SECOND DAY'S PROCEEDINGS Saturday morning - Met according to adjournment. 1. Prayer by the moderator. 2. Called for the report of committee of Arrangement. Report read, received, and committee discharged. 3. Called the roll, and absentees names stricken out. 4. Read the Rules of Decorum. 5. Called for the report of the committee on preaching. Received, read and committee discharged. The report is as follows: To day, Johnson and Hopkins. To-night: Chastain and Wolsey. Sabbath: McCallan and Hopkins. 6. Called for report of committee on finances, who report - Present contribution $17.65 In hand of Treasurer 3.20 Total $20.85 7. Appointed our next Association at Fellowship, Meigs county, Tenn., Friday before the 4th Saturday in September, 1879. J. Johnson to preach the introductory, M. Sharp, alternate. 8. Corresponding letter read, received and ordered to be signed. 9. Agreed to have 700 copies of our minutes printed, the clerk superintend the printing and distribution thereof, and that he be allowed $5 for his services. 10. The Association instructs the churches instead of saying in their letters received by Baptism, to say Baptised, only. 11. Appointed J.K. Chastain to write a friendly letter to West Union Association, which meets at Marsh Creek, Wheatly county, Kentucky, on Friday before the 2d Saturday in October, 1878, in which a summary of our faith shall be given. Himself, A.D. Morrison and J.R. Holimon bear it, and if in their judgment they are of the same faith and practice, take up correspondence with them. 12. Appointed a Union meeting at Shilo, May the 4th Saturday, 1879, and request the ministering brethren to attend the same. 13. Minutes read and ordered to be signed. 14. Then after prayer by elder J.
