James Johnson, former Clerk, and himself had served the body a number of years as Moderator and Clerk, and that a change, in all probability, would be for the better, and therefore requested the Association to release them from serving any longer in said office." Elder P.R. Brown elected Moderator; Robt. Spradling elected Clerk Letters of Correspondence from Sister Associations: Stockton's Valley - Elders G.L. West and S.H. Flowers, and Bros. A.M. Smith and John Wilson and Elder H.T. Delany West Union Association - Elder Jesse Lay The Association directed that Eld. J.B. McCallon write a Letter of Correspondence to Stockton's Valley Association, and appointed Elders P.R. Brown, Jas. Johnson, Bros. G.H. Moore, J.W. Givens and J.L. Waller to bear the same to said Association, when convened at Beach Bottom Church House, Clinton County, Ky., second Saturday in September, 1891. Also directed that Bro. J.R. Holloman write a Letter of Correspondence To West Union Association, and that Elders Jas. Johnson, W.E. Pope and Bros. A.C. Ewing, F.M. Odom and D.D. Odom bear the same to said Association when convened at Ezra Church House, Scott County, Tennessee, Friday before the second Saturday in October next. Committees: Unfinished Business: Elders Jas.
