DeRossett Fair View, Martha Dinkens OBITUARIES Old Friendship: Margaret J. Smith, born October 10, 1869, died October 1, 1912. Wife of W.D. Smith. Joined Hind's Valley Church when she was 27 years old. Joined Old Friendship by letter April 1902. Survived by husband and six children, two boys and four girls. Hind's Valley Church: Julia H. Garrison, born November 18, 1844, died April 27, 1913, aged 68 years, 5 months and 9 days. Daughter of Asa Newport and Elizabeth Rogers. Joined Hind's Valley Church about the year 1864-65. Services by W.T. West. Interment in the Newport Cemetery. Pisgah Church: Nancy M. Guinn, wife of Rev. J.F. Guinn, whose maiden name was Actkinson, was born 6th day of January, 1840, and died the second day of December 1912. Joined and was baptized into the Walnut Grove Baptist Church October 1873. They both joined Pisgah a few years later. Grassey Cove: W.M. Loden, born Jan 26, 1827, died November 7, 1912. Married Sarah A. Smith February 26, 1827, who still survives him. To this union 11 children were born, 10 of whom are still living. E. DeRossett was born January 23, 1832, died August 3, 1913. He married Vina R. Lee September 18, 1855. To them were born 9 children, 6 boys and 3 girls, all of whom lived to be married. Six are yet living. Joined Haley's Grove Church about 45 years ago. Served as Deacon 40 years. Joined Grassey Cove by letter about 44 years ago. Fellowship church: Mary J. Porter, nee Ferguson, was born August 4, 1861, and died September 15, 1913. Joined Fellowship Church 1880. Sister Porter had been sorely afflicted for many years both physically and mentally.
