SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - Jacob Weaver to John Carrier ----¤¤¤---- Sullivan Co., TN, DB 4, p. 719: Jacob Weaver to John Carrier Transcribed by Robert Keyes Jan 31, 2005 Source: LDS FHL film #972706 This Indenture made this 16th of [?} in the year 1806 Between Jacob Weaver of the County of Sullivan & State of Tennessee of the one part & John Carrier of the County & State afores aid of the other part witnesseth that the said Jacob Wea ver for & in consideration of the sum of 132 pounds five shillings to me in hand paid the Receipt whereof is here by acknowledged hath & by these presents doth grant bar gain sell aline Ensf??? & confirm unto the said John Carrier his heirs & assigns forever a Certain tract or parcel of land containing 87 and one half acre be same or less lying & being in the County of Sullivan on the south Side of holston river Begining at an ash & poplar on the Bank of Weavers Creek thence north 83 East 49 poles to a Cycamore & Ceader on the bank of said Creek thence along up the same North 59 East 16 poles to sweet gum & dogwood thence East 11 poles to two white oaks thence north 79 East 85 poles to a spanish oak & elm thence north 41 East 82 poles to a stake a corner of Jacob Taylors thence South 49 West 6 poles & 12 links to a stake thence north 41 west 50 poles to a dogwood & Beach & two shugar trees on the Bank of holston River thence along down the same South 80 west 42 poles to an Elm & beach thence with the meanders of the said river South 66 west 27 poles to two shugar trees on said bank thence with the several courses of said River South 55 west 96 poles to a white oak a corner of Rockholds land thence wi the a line of the same South 54 East 10 poles to a white oak & dogwood thence South 16 west 22 poles to a sowerwood & two dogwood & thence South 73 East 41 poles to two wh ite walnuts & a white oak thence a straight line to the Begining Containing 87 acres & a half with all & Singular the appertainances whatsoever to the sd tra ct of land belonging or appertaining & the Reversion Rents & Jones? thereof & all the Estate right title intrest property claim & Demand of him the said Jacob Wea ver his heirs &c in & to the same & Every part & parcel thereof Either in law or Equity to have & to hold the said tract of land with the appertanances unto the said John Carrier his heirs & assigns forever against the lawful Claim & demand of all & Every Person or persons whatsoever will warrant & forever defend by these Presents in witness where of the said Jacob Weaver hath hereunto set his hand & seal the Day & year first above written Signed Sealed & delivered in the presents of Jacob Weaver (seal) John Anderson { State of TEnnessee Sullivan County May Session 1806 the Execution of the within deed is acknowledged in open Court by Jacob Weaver party there to ordered to be Registered Test Mattw Rhea Clerk of May 22th day 1806 Reg'st Sullivan County Exd W.A.
