Keyes Jan 7, 2005 Source: LDS FHL film #972705 State of North Carolina No. 317 To all to whom these presents shall come greetin know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paind into our treasury by Edward Cox have given and granted & by these presents do give and grant unto the said Edward Cox a tract of land containing two hundred and ninety two acres lying and being in our County of Sullivan ---------------- --------- and the north side Holston River beginning at a large Black oak on the River side runing thence north eighty Degrees west forty two poles to a white oak thence north five Degres East one hundred and twenty two perches to a white Oak thence north Sixty Degrees west thirty two perches to a hickory thence north forty nine Degrees East thirty perches to a red oak along John Cox Sen'r line thence along Jas [Jos?] Wallaces line north sixty four degrees west one hundred and twenty four perches to a large Chesnut thence South forty five Degrees west sixty four poles to a black oak along the widow Crosses line thence south one hundred & two poles to a hickory thence along John Cox Jun'r line south forty two Degrees west forty two poles to a black oak thence along said line south thirty three Degrees East one hundred and fifty two poles to a forked spanish oak on the River thence a straight line up the River the flats?
