SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - State of North Carolina to Jacob Emmert ----¤¤¤---- Sullivan Co., TN, DB 2, p. 746: State of North Carolina to Jacob Emmert Transcribed by Robert Keyes Feb 5, 2005 Source: LDS FHL film #972705 State of North Carolina No. 1022 To all to whom these presents shall come greeting know ye that we for & in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid into our treasu ry by Jacob Emmert have given & granted & by these presents do give and grant unto the sd Jacob Emmert a tra act of Land containing one hundred acres lying & being County of Sullivan begining at three black oaks in Frams line thence South 26 poles to a spanish oak thence East 155 poles to a pine then South 34 poles to a white oak then East 86 poles to a pine then North 108 pases to a post oak then west 116 poles to a white oak then South 67 West 140 poles to the begining as by the plat hereunto annexed doth appear together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments & appurtenances unto the sd Land belonging or appertaining to hold to the sd Jacob Emmert his heirs & assigns forever yielding & paying to us such sums of mo ney yearly or otherwise as our general assembly from time to time may direct provided always that the sd Jacob Emmert shall cause this grant to be registered in the registers office of our sd County of Sullivan within twelve months from the date here of otherwise the same shall be void & of no effect in testimony wh ereof we have caused these our letters to be made pa tent & our great seal to be hereunto affixed witness Alex Martin Esqr our governor Captain general & com mander in chief at Newbern the 27 day of Nov'm in the 16 year of our independence & in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety two By his Excellcy's Comm'd Alex Martin J Glasgow Secretary Sept 18th dya Then Reg's 1795 Ex.
