Keyes Jan 15, 2005 Source: FHL Film# 972708 This Indenture made and entered into this twenty third day of November One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty betwixt Joshua Miller of the one part and George Greenway of the other part both of the County of Sullivan and State of Tennessee Witn esseth that the said Joshua Miller for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars Currant Money of Tennessee to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge he hath bargind and sold and by these Presents do grant bargin and sell unto the said George Greenway a certain Track or parcel of land in the County of Sullivan on the North side of Holston River joining the land of John Miller dec'd and the lands of Joshua Miller containing twenty? three Acres and bounded as follows towit Beginning at a large White Oak on Joshua Millers line, thence South sixty six West eighty poles to Chestnut and Black Oak on John Millers line, thence North seventy two West twenty six poles to a Black Oak John Millers corner thence South twenty nine West fifty one poles to a Forked White Oak, thence along William Morgans line North five West thirty three poles to two White Oaks joining together thence North fifty five West fifty eight poles to a White Hicory sapling on Joshua Millers line, thence along the same to the Beginning together with all woods waters hereditaments and appurtenances unto the same belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold unto the sd George Greenway and his heirs & assigns for ever [inserted above] and I do hereby for my self my heirs or assigns forever [end insertion] warrant and defend all and singular the above bounded land unto the said George Greenway and his heirs or assigns for ever against all persons claiming whatever In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this day and date first above written Signed Seald and delivered in Presence of Joshua Miller (seal) State of Tennessee Court of Pleas &c November Session 1820 Then Sullivan County was the Execution of the within Deed of Conveyance acknowledged by Joshua Miller party thereto Let it be Registerd Rich'd Netherland Clk Reg 8th March 1821 By Joseph C Rhea Dclk ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
