Keyes Jan 29, 2005 Source: LDS FHL film #972705 State of North Carolina No 527 To all to whom these presents shall come greeting know ye that we for & in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid into our treasury by Jacob Gross have given & granted & by these presents do give & grant unto the sd Jacob Gross a tract of Land Containing three hundred acres lying and being in our County of Sullivan on the path goes from Nancy Chotes to Bucleys? Runing towards Wataugah Begining at a large Red oak then north fifty two east one hundred & twenty two poles to a hickory tree then on a boundary line between sd Gross & John Hall North sixty one west thirty eight poles to an elm tree then north six ty six west thirty four poles to a stake then north forty five East nine poles to a hickory tree then north forty nine west Eighty six poles to a white oak then sixty poles to a spanish oak the sixty west sixty four poles to two white oaks saplings still on sd Dividing line South fifty one west sixty six poles to a wh ite oak on Walter Greers line then south two hundred and sixty poles to a stake then a straight line to the Begining As by the plat hereunto annexed doth appear together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments & appurtenances to the sd Land belonging or appertaining to hold to the sd Jacob Gross his he irs & assigns forever yielding & paying to us such sums of mony yearly or otherwise as our General Assembly from time to time may direct provided always that the said Jacob Gross shall cause this grant to be registered in the registers office of our Sd County of Sullivan within twelve months from the date hereof oth erwise the same shall be void & of no effect in testimony where of we have caused these our Letters to be made patent & our great seal to be hereunto affixed Witness Alexander Martin Esqu ire our Governor Captain General & commander in chief at Fayattvill the 17th day of November in the XIIth year of our Independence & in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety Buy Excelley's Commd Alex Martin J Glasgow Secretary Regst July 10th 1792 Ex'd ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
