Keyes Jan 30, 2005 Source: LDS FHL film #972705 State of North Carolina No. 407 To all to whom these Presents shall come greeting Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid into our treasuary by John Hall have given and granted and by these presents Do give and grant unto the said John Hall a tract of Land con taining six hundred and forty acres lying and being in our County of Sullivan Begining at Benjamin Moonys Corner hicory and Dogwood then on said line Due North two hundred and four poles to three hicorys on Stephen Rentfroes Line then north thirty five Degrees west Ninety six poles to a box oak then north sixty Degrees west sixty poles to a beach and Elm on the bank of the River thence Down the River as it meanders three hundred and three poles to a stake thence Due South two hundred and forty three poles to a stake on said halls old line thence on said line South sixty one Degrees East ninety six poles to a stake thence north fifty five Degrees East two hundred and seventy seven poles to the Begining as by the plat hereunto annexed Doth appear together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments and appertenances to the said Land belonging or appertaining to hold to the said John Hall his heirs and as signs for ever yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our general assembly from time to time may Direct provided always that the said John Hall shall cause this grant to be Registered in the Registers office of our said County of Sullivan within twelve months from the Date hereof otherwise the same shall be void and of none effect in testimony whereof we have caused these our Letters to be made patent and our great seal to be hereunto affixed witness Richard Caswell Esquire our govenor Captain general and Commander in Chief at Kinston? the ninth Day of August in the XII year of our Independance anno Dom 1787 By his Excellys Comd R Caswell J Glasgow Secretary ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
