Keyes Jan 25, 2004 Source: LDS FHL film #972705 State of North Carolina No 87 To all to whom these presents shall come greeting Know ye that we for and in Consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid into our treasury by Valentine Little have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the sd Valentine Little a tract of Land Containing one hundred acres lying and being in our County of Sullivan on the south side of Holsten river Begining at two white oaks Andrew Littles Corner on the river Bank then south ninty West ninty six pole to a Walnut then south nine East one hun dred and thirty four poles to a black oak then North seventy five East sixty pole to a pine thence North five East ninty six poles to a White oak North forty east forty poles to a stake on the River bank thence down the river the several Courses and meanders thereof to the Begining as by the plat hereunto annaxed doth ap pear together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments and appurtenances to the sd Land belonging or appertaining to hold to the sd Valentine Little his heirs and assigns forever yealding and paying to us such sums of mony yearly or otherwise as our Ge neral assembly from time to time may direct provided allways that the sd Valentine Little shall cause this grant to be registered in the re gisters office of our sd County of Sullivan within twelve months from the date hereof otherwise the same shall be void and of none effect In testimony whereof we have caused our great seal to be hereunto affixed Witness Alexander Martin Esquire Govenor Capten general and Commander in Chief at Fairfield the twenty third day of October in the seventh year of our Independence and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty two By his Excellys Com'd Alex Martin J Glasgow Sec [Note: Sold to George Little DB 2-494; see also George Little to John Shell DB 4-688; see also John Shell to Robert Housley DB 6-156] ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
