This Indenture made this tenth day of December in the
year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and ninety two
Between John Tarbet of the teritory of the United States
of America South of the River Ohio & Sullivan County of the
one part and John Prothro of the County and Territory aforesaid
of the other part Witnesseth that the sd John Tarbet for & in con
sideration of the sum of thirty five pounds good & lawfull
money of the State of North Carolina to him in hand paid by the 
said John Prothro  the receipt whereof the sd John Tarbet doth
hereby acknowledge hath granted bargain & sell alien Enfeoffd
Released and confirmed & by these presents doth grant bargain
& sell alien Enfeoff releas & confirm unto the sd John Prothro
all that tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the territory
& County aforesaid Begining at a white oak corner to William
Frames and from thence with sd line South 27°W 140 poles to
a white oak thence due West 96 poles to a stake on Allisons line
thence due N 217 poles to a stake & from thence N60°E 181 poles
to the begining containing one hundred & fifty acres more or less
together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditements and
appurtenances to the sd land belonging or appertaining to hold
unto the sd John Prothro his heirs & assigns for ever which tract
or parcel of land the sd John Torbet doth hereby warrant & forever
defend unto him the sd John Prothro his & assigns forever from all
& every person or persons laying any just & lawfull claim to the same
from by or under him from by or under any of my heirs or assigns
in all & every case whatsoever & in testimony whereof he the sd John
Tarbet has hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day & year
above written
