Keyes Jan 17, 2005 Source: LDS FHL Film# 972707 This Indenture made the Twenty Sixth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fourteen Between Washington Lewis of the County of Madison and Mississippi Teritory Heir and Devisee of Nathan Lewis Deceased late of the County of Sullivan and State of Tennessee of the one part and James Rhea of the County and State of Tennessee of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Washington Lewis for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred Dollars to him paid and the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell alien & convey to the said James Rhea his heirs and assigns forever all his right title claim and Interest as heir and Devisee of Nathan Lewis Deceased as aforesaid to one undivided seventh share or Portion of a certain tract of Land lying and being in the County of Sullivan and State of Tennessee on both sides of beaver Creek and containing three hundred acres more or less being part of a tract of land of Four hundred Acres No. from the State of North Carolina to the aforesaid Nathan Lewis one hundred acres of which was bequeated by him the said Nathan Lewis to David Lewis which tract or parcel of Land of four hundred acres as aforesaid is bounded as followith to wit. Begining at two white oaks on George Himes Corner thence South sixty six poles to a forked white oak on the bank of Bever Creek [line inserted above:]thence South nine Degrees West down the said Creek [end insertion] one hundred and four poles to a forked popler on Webbs corner thence North Seventy five East eighty two poles to a white oak on the said Webbs Corner North twenty five East one hundred and fifty poles to a White Oak crossing said creek thence up the meanders of the same North sixty four East ninety nine poles to a box elder on the bank of the said Creek thence North forty three west two hundred and forty poles to a post Oak thence west two hundred and seventy five poles to a Stake thence a straight line to the Beginning.
