SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - John & Joseph Scott to William Hall ----¤¤¤---- Sullivan Co., TN, DB 6, p. 328: John & Joseph Scott to William Hall Transcribed by Robert Keyes Feb 25, 2005 Source: LDS FHL film #972707 This Indenture made this 20th of August one thousnad Eight hundred and thirteen Between John Scott and Joseph Scott of Sullivan County and State of Tennessee Administrators of John Scott Deceased of the one part & William Hall of Green County and State aforesaid of of the other Part Witnesseth that the said John and Joseph Scott for a Valuable Consideration the receipt whereof is hereby acknow= ledged and by these presents have bargained & sold in fee simple and confirmed unto the said William Hall and to his heirs &C forever a certain Tract or Parcel of land containing one hundred and forty ??? be the same more or less said land situated in Sullivan County and state aforesaid and on the south side of Holston River Viz- Begining at three white oaks North twenty six West one hundred and ten Poles to a white oak formerly Nancy Shotes line thence along the same South fifty five West six Poles to a stake North twenty six west fifty two Poles to a Double Poplar & White Hickory on Milhorns line then South forty four west one Hundred and twenty Poles to a white oak Thence South Ninety two poles to three gums, joining said Milhorns land then East thirty one poles to a large Poplar and Chesnut on the side of a ridge Then South sixty nine poles to a stake then a Direct line to the Begining to have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights prophits en??turments here =ditaments and apurtenances of in and to the same Belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only propper use and behoof of him the said William Hall his Heirs and assigns forever and the said John Scott and Joseph Scott in the Capacity aforesaid for them selves their Executors & Administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said William Hall his Heirs and assigns before recited land and bargained premises they will warrant and Defend against the right title Interst or Claim of all and Every Person whatever In Witness whereof the said John Scott & Joseph Scott hath hereunto set their Hands and affixed their Seals the Day and year above written Signed Sealed a Delivered In Presents of John Scott (seal) John Anderson Joseph Scott (seal) State of Tennessee Sullivan County at August Session 1813 the Execution of the within Deed was acknowledged in open Court by John Scott and Joseph Scott party thereto let it be Registerd Test Matthew Rhea Clk Sulvn Cty 10th September 1813 Reg [Note: See also NC Grant to John Scott DB 1-178] ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
