SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - State of North Carolina to Henry Waggoner ----¤¤¤---- Sullivan Co., TN, DB 1, p. 216: State of North Carolina to Henry Waggoner Transcribed by Robert Keyes Dec 2, 2004 Source: LDS FHL film #972705 State of North Carolina No. 256 to all to whom these presents shall come greeting Know ye that we for and in con sideration of the sum of fifty Shillings for Every hundred acres hereby granted paid into our treasuary by Henry Waggoner have given and granted and by these presents Do give & grant unto the said Henry Wagoner a tract of Land containing five hundred acres lying and being in our County of Sullivan on the south side of holston River joining of Christley Weaver and John Scot including the Land the said henry Wagoner now lives on Begining at Chisley Weavers Corner white oak on a poplar ridge South fifty eight East thirty six poles to a white oak thence South fifteen East one hundred and Eighty pole to a white oak and Black Oak thence Due West three hundred and twenty pole to a black oak North twenty six West Eighty poles to a black oak thence North twenty East two two hundred and Eighty poles to Weavers Corner poplar thence along the said Weavers line South fifty six West two hundred and forty poles crossing a old branch to the begining as By the plat hereunto Annexed Doth appear together with all woods waters mines minerals heredita ments and appurtenances to the said Land belonging or appertaining to hold to the said henry Wagoner his heirs and assigns for ever yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our general assembly from time time may Direct provided always that the said Henry Wagoner Shall cause this grant to be Registered in the Registers office of our said County of Sullivan within twelve months from the Date hereof otherwise the same shall be void and of no effect in testimony whereof we have caused these our letters to be made patent and our great seal to be hereunto affixed Witness Alexander Martin Esquire our governor Captain general and Commander in Chief at new Bern the tenth Day of November in the ninth year of our Independance and In the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four By his Excellys Com'd Jas.
