Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hearby granted paid unto our treasury by John Webb have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the sd John Webb a tract of Land containing six hundred and twenty five acres lying and being in our County of Sullivan on the south side of holston river begining at two Beeches on the river Bank thence due south three hundred and Eight perches to two white oaks and spanish oak saplins Oak saplins thence due west one hund red and seventy four poles to a hickory saplin on Saml Smiths line thence on sd Smiths line North six degrees East sixteen poles to a white oak saplin on a ridge thence on sd line North sixteen degrees west twenty pearches to a post oak on a ridge thence due west one hundred and fifty four perches to a forked Chesnut thence due North two hundred and Eighty six pearches to two gum saplins near the river Bank thence south Eighty Eight degrees East three hundred and forty three poles to the Beginning. As by the plat hereunto annaxed doth appear together with all woods waters mines minerals Heredita ments and appurtnances to the sd Land belonging or appertain ing to hold to the sd John Webb his heirs and assigns forever yealding and paying to us such sums of mony yearly or other wise as our general assembly from time to time may direct provided allways that the sd John Webb shall caus this grant to be registered in the registers office of our Sd County of Sullivan within twelve months from the date hearof otherwise the same shall be void and of no effect.
