This Indenture made the Seventh day of September in 
the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety one Betw
een John Rhea of Sullivan County and Western teritory of 
the United States of America South of the river Ohio yeoman 
of one part and Moses Webb of the county & territory aforesaid yeo
man of the other part.  Witnesseseth that for and in consideration 
of the sum of one hundred and five pounds Lawful money of the State of 
Virginia to him the sd John Rhea well & truly in 
hand paid at or before the Ensealing and delivering of these presents 
the [Receipt] whereof the said John Rhea doth hereby acknowledge have harga
ined and sold in fee simple & confirmed unto him the sd Moses Webb 
his heirs & assigns for ever a certain tract of parcell of land contain
ing two hindred acres of Land be the same more or less situate 
Lying & being in the Sd County of Sullivan on the north side 
holston River at the mouth of Beaver Creek adjoining Samuel 
Looneys orphans lines.  Beginning at a black oak & white oak 
thence on Sd Looney orphans line north forty five West one hun
dred and eighty poles to a white oak thence North seventy 
two & half east two hundred & seventy nine poles to a post oak 
thence south six east one hundred & fifty seven poles to a stake 
thence a direct line to the beginning together with all woods houses 
fences ways water water courses orchards & all appurtenances 
thereunto belonging or in any wise there unto belonging or appur
taining with all rents & reversions? of rents all other the estate rights 
& title that may now or ever here after may appertain to the same 
free from troubles or hindrance of any person or persons lawful
ly claiming the same to have & to hold all & singular the hereby 
devised premises with every part & parcel thereof free from 
all incumbrance of mortgages dowers & reversions by or from me 
the sd John Rhea or any other person or persons whateverth to be 
to the only [use] & behof him the sd Moses Webb his heirs & assigns 
forever.  Lastly I the sd John Rhea do hereby covenant & ????? 
with the sd Moses Webb his heirs ext'r Adm's & assigns that I will for 
ever warrant and defend the above piece or parcel of land unto the sd 
Moses Webb & at the reasonable request & proper charges of know the sd 
Moses will make any other Conveyance or assurance that shall be by 
Law Required to pass the fee simple Estate of the land from me to 
him the sd Moses Webb his heirs Ext'r Adm'r & assigns in witness whereof 
I have set my hand & [seal] on the day above written  signed sealed & delivered 
in the presence of
