Keyes Jan 15, 2005 Source: FHL Film# 972708 State of North Carolina No. 206 To all to whom these presents shall come greeting Know ye that in for and in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid unto our treasury by George Webb have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said George Webb a tract of land containing six hundred and thirteen acres situate and lying and being in the County of Sullivan on Beaver Creek Beginning at a Black Walnut on the Creek Wallaces line thence along his line South fifty two East ninety poles to a Hickory thence South four East eighty poles to a Poplar on Hawkins line thence along his line South forty one West four hundred and fifty six poles to a red Oak on a hill thence West two hundred and six poles to a Red Oak thence North one hundred and eighty poles to two White Oaks on the Creek thence up the Creek two hundred and six poles to a Poplar on Nathan Lewis line thence along his line North seventy six East one hundred and four poles to a White oak thence North twenty seven East eighty four poles to a Black Oak on said Creek thence up the Creek as it meanders to the Beginning as by the plat hereunto anexed doth appear together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments and appurtenances to the said land belonging or appertaining to hold to the said George Webb his heirs and assigns for ever yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our General Assembly from time to time may direct provided allways that the said George Webb shall cause this Grant to be registered in the Registers Office of our said County of Sullivan with twelve months from the date hereof otherwise the same shall be void and of none none effect In testimony whereof we have caused these our letters to be made patent and our Great seal to be hereunto affixed Witness Alexander Martin Esquire Governor Captain General and Commander in chief at Hillsboro the tenth day of October in the eight year of Independence and in the eight year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty three.
