Keyes Jan 15, 2005 Source: FHL film# 972707 The State of Tennessee No 2659 To all to whom these persents shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue of a duplicate Warrant No 1058 dated the 25th day of May 1809 issued by Archibald Round Commissioner for East Tennessee to Isaac Hicks deceased and entered in the Surveyors Office of the Sixth District of said State by No 1112 on the ninth day of March 1812. There is Granted by the said State of Tennessee unto Benjamin Webb assignee of said Isaac Hicks hath a certain tract or parcel of Land containing one hundred and thirty six Acres lying and being in the County of Sullivan in the said Sixth District, and Bounded as follows towit, Beginning at a white oak on a line of a former Survey of said Webb running thence West one hundred and twenty six poles to a poplar and white oak thence South Forty five degrees West twenty poles to a Gum and Chesnut sapling then North twenty Degrees West Forty poles to a white oak and Gum, Thence South Seventy degrees West twenty poles to a walnut sapling and parsimmon on the River Bank thence up the River South thirty degrees West Forty nine poles to two Black Oak Saplings on said River thence South eighteen degrees east Forty seven poles to two Hickory saplings on said River thence South Eighty seven degrees East ninety poles to a forked Sycamore on the Bank of said River thence North twelve degrees East twenty three poles to a White Oak thence North forty five degrees East Ninety five poles to two Hickorys thence along the same course thirty five poles to a stake thence to the Beginning (Surveyed the 4th day of April 1812 by John Anderson DS) With the hereditaments and appurtenances to have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its appur tenances to the said Benjamin Webb and his heirs for ever In Witness whereof Willie Blount Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the great seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville on the ninth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twelve and of the Independence of the United States the the thirty Seventh By the Governor Willie Blount W.G.
