Keyes Jan 16, 2005 Source: FHL Film# 972708 This Indenture made this 25 th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight by and between Benjamin Webb of the one part and James Webb David Webb Jr and Benjamin Webb Junr (sons of Nathan Webb) of the other part all of the County of Sullivan and State of Tennessee Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Webb for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said James Webb David Webb Jr and Benjamin Webb Jr their Heirs & assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing three hindred and seven acres be the same more or less lying and being in the County of Sullivan on the north side of Holston river and on the waters of Beaver Creek it being the one half [of] the said Benjamin Webbs part of a tract of land divided by George Webb deceased to him and his brother George Webb with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging with the exception of twelve acres heretofor leased by the said Benjamin Webb to William King and which is not hereby conveyed the said twelve acres is the same on which the forge &c were situated. To have and to hold the said tract of land the revesion and reversions the issues and profits of the said premises and every part and parcel thing and all the estate right title claim interest or demand whatsoever of him the said Benjamin Webb of in or to the said premises and every part thereof to the said James Webb David Webb Jr and Benjamin Webb Jr and to their heirs and assigns for ever to their only proper use and behoof and the said Benjamin Webb for himself and his heirs &c to said tact of land & premises and every part and parcel thereof against him the said Benjamin Webb and his heirs and against all and any other lawfull claim or to claims by [him] or under him ??? said Benjamin or his heirs ???? and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said Benjamin Webb hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written.
