Keyes Jan 16, 2005 Source: FHL Film# 972708 This Indenture made and concluded this 22nd day of July 1828 between Elizabeth Webb of the County of Sullivan and State of Tennesee of the one part and Barbary Hysinger of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for a valuable consideration in hand paid by the sd Barbary Hysinger the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold a certain piece or parcel of land situate in the County and State aforesaid on the forks of Holston and Watauga rivers being the said Elizabeth Webbs undivided interest of one hundred acres of land belonging to the estate of John Spurgin deceased estimated at twenty five acres or the one fourth part of the above named one hundred acres bounded as follows Beginning at a Beech and Sugar tree on the bank of the river thence South sixty poles to a large White oak thence South sixty five degrees West one hundred poles to a White oak and Dogwood thence North seventy degrees West one hundred poles to a Poplar and Buckeye on the river thence up the river with the meanders to the Beginning to have and to hold to her the said Barbary Hysinger and her heirs &c for ever and the said Elizabeth Webb doth warrant and for ever defend the said undivided one fourth part of the above discribed one hundred of land In testimoney whereof the said Elizabeth Webb hath hereunto set her hand and afixed her seal the day and date above written in presence of us her Elizabeth x Webb (seal) mark Jos.
