This Indenture made this 25 th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight 
hundred and twenty eight by and between Benjamin Webb of the one part and James Webb of the 
other part both of the County of Sullivan and State of Tennessee.  Witnesseth that for and in consideration 
of the sum of three hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said 
Benjamin Webb at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents hath granted bargained 
and sold aliened released and confired unto the said James Webb his heirs executors administrators 
and assigns the following described estate to wit one Horse one Mare all his Cattle Hogs 
Sheep and farming utensils and all the said Benjamins grain both growing and in the Barn 
???? all his houshold goods and furniture and Iron and anvil one large pot Hoise g??? 
??? gun and one shott gun all ???? ??? in the occupation of others said Benjamin Webb 
To have and to and to have and to hold all and singular the said above described property bargained and sold and ???? 
or intended so to be to the said James Webb his heirs executors administrators & assigns for ever And the said 
Benjamin Webb for himself his heirs Executors administratiors &c all & singular the said property & give unto 
the said James Webb his heirs executors &c against him the said Benjamin Webb his heirs executors &c 
and all and every other person whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents of all 
and singular of which said goods and property I the said Benjamin Webb have put the said James Webb 
in full possession by delivering to him the said James Webb in hand same at the sealing and delivery of these 
presents in the ???? of the whole premises hereby bargained & sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto 
him the said James Webb as aforesaid  In witness whereof the said Benjamin Webb hath hereunto set hand and 
affixed his seal the day and year above written  Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of

State of Tennessee First Circuit Sullivan County September Term 1828  then was the Execution of the within 
Deed of Conveyance proven in open Court by the Oaths of James D Rhea & Christian Weaver witnesses to the same
