SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - NEWSPAPERS - Kingsport Times, 22 Jul 1919 ----¤¤¤---- MRS. M. A. HOGAN DIES FOLLOWING RELAPSE Body is Taken to Chapel Hill, N. C., Her Former Home, For Burial. Mrs. -M. A. Hogan, the mother of F. V. Hogan, of this city, died Friday night in her seventy-eighth year after suffering a relapse into an illness from which it was thought she had recovered. Mrs. Hogan, who came from DeFuniak Springs, Fla., last winter to visit her son became ill shortly after her arrival with a disease incident to advanced age, but recovered several weeks ago and was apparently again in good health. The relapse came Friday afternoon, and her death a few hours later. A short service was held at the Hogan home on Watauga street Saturday afternoon and was conducted by the Rev. Robert King, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. The body was taken that evening to Chapel Hill, N. C., Mrs. Hogan's former home, for burial, and was accompanied by the family and the Rev. Mr. King, who is an old friend. The service here was attended by many people, who sent many beautiful floral tributes.
