Boone BLUFF CITY -- Benny C. Boone, 67, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bluff City, son of the late William Jennings Boone and Etta Richardson Boone. He was of the Baptist faith and, prior to his retirement, was the owner and operator of Business Equipment Co. of Bristol. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Boone; four brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Karen Boone; two sons, Randy Boone and his wife, Eleonara, of Kure Beach, N.C., and Pat Boone and his wife, Dr. Elaine Boone, of Limestone, Tenn.; one stepson, Dr. Rick Guthrie and his wife, Cindy, of Bluff City; three stepdaughters, Elisa Gastineau and her husband, Michael, of Knoxville, Barbara Duncan and her husband, Jim, of Bristol, Virginia, and Brenda Inman and her husband, Gary, of Bristol Virginia; four sisters, Katie Woods and her husband, Claude, of Bluff City, Irene Simpson and her husband, Larry, of Anderson, Ind., Carolyn Peckinpaugh and her husband, Mike, of Anderson and Mae Allen of Barnardsville, N.C.; and several grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 Friday evening in the chapel of Oakley-Cook Funeral Home with Dr. Gordon Turnbull officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:15 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in Sunrise Cemetery in Bluff City.
