Mrs. Brown was born July 21, 1929, in Kedron, W.Va., a daughter of the late William and Lula Ostrowskie Tenney and has made her home in the Bristol area for the past several years. She was the widow of Dayton Brown and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her sons, Donald Lee Simons, Michael G. Simons and his wife Patsy, Neil E. Simons and Kevin W. Simons; grandchildren, David and Scott; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Dunn and Juanita Barr; brothers, Eddie Light and Denver Tenney; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Shipley Cemetery.
