Caldwell Mrs. Mollie Ellen Carr Caldwell, 74, of Watauga, a loving Mother and Grandmother, died at her residence Sunday, February 4, 2007. A native of Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Bullock Carr. Mrs. Caldwell was a retired employee of Levi Strauss, Elizabethton, and a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Caldwell, three sisters, Shelby Jean Perry, Pauline Campbell and Edna Smith, and two brothers, Ralph Carr and Lonnie Carr. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Ann Caldwell of Watauga; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Terry Denton of Piney Flats; two grandchildren, Keri Caldwell and Brent Cross; five sisters, Jewel Blevins and Glennie Asher, both of Elizabethton, JoAnn Smith, Velma Hicks and Betty Henson, all of Bluff City; and five brothers, W.J. Carr, Ivan Carr, Terry Carr and Gary Carr, all of Bluff City, and Kenneth Carr of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Caldwell will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Brad Perry, minister, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, in the Malone Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, will be Kip Perry, Kim Perry, Butch Smith, Larry Caldwell, Mark Campbell, Bud Smith, Brandon Perry and Ronnie Carr. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday.
