He was born in Washington County, Va., to John and Lizzie Adams Callahan and was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Trent Callahan. He is survived by nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Sunday t 3:30 p.m. at Rooty Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 til 3 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 3 p.m. going to the cemetery for those wishing to attend the graveside service. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Thomas Luck.
