She was a life long resident of Sullivan County and a daughter of the late Cleve and Minnie Tester Lunsford. She was a member of Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church and was the widow of Hobert William Carrier. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Millie Horne; a son, Lonnie Carrier; and a granddaughter, Dedi Horne. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Darlene Carrier of Bristol Tennessee; a son, Lawrence W. Carrier of Jonesborough, Tenn.; a sister, Ruth Johnson of Bristol; two brothers, J.C. Lunsford and Carl Lunsford, both of Bristol; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Penny Johnson. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in the Paul Cook Memorial Chapel of Oakley-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Light officiating. The committal service and burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Carrier, Michael Carrier, Bob Horne, Jeff Mustard, Randy Carrier, Steve Rainey, J.C.Lunsford and Earl Smithson.
