SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - William P. Carrier, 9 Sep 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- William P. Carrier, 83, St. Johns Nursing Home, Gray, died there Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004. A native of Sullivan County, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Sarah E. Jones Carrier. Mr. Carrier was a retired watch repairman. He was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church, Johnson City. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Carrier, and a grandson, Danny Carrier. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Donna Carrier, Hampton, Marvin and Kay Carrier and James and Kathy Carrier, Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one niece, Kathy Amstutz; one nephew, Randy Carrier; one aunt, Lucille Carrier; and a sister-in-law, Ossie Carrier. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Cochran Cemetery, Hampton, with the Rev. Gary Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son and daughter-in-law: Tom and Donna Carrier, 211 Sunflower Lane, Hampton (Fairview Community).
