Loretta J. Davis 





    Loretta Jean Davis, 75, of Elizabethton, died Monday, March 12, 2007, at 

NHC Health Care, Johnson City. 





    A native of Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Robert A. and 

Alice Bryant Markland. 





    Mrs. Davis had lived most of her life in Elizabethton. She was a retired 

employee of Kmart, Johnson City, and was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church 

and the Faith Sunday School Class. 





    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her 

husband, Roger Davis. 





    Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Greathouse; a granddaughter, 

Jennifer Blatchley; a great-granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Blatchley; three 

sisters; and several nieces and nephews. 





    Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, 

March 15, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hendrich officiating. 

The Eulogy will be given by Will Andrews. Music will be provided by Bill 

Fancher and the Rev. Harold McNabb. Private graveside services will be at 

Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and 

friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:30 

p.m. Thursday. Deborah would like to express a special "Thank You" to the NHC 

Health Care Professionals who assisted with her mother and profound gratitude 

to a very special Angel, Frieda Miller, who contributed so much to her 

mother's well-being and was always there when needed. Online condolences to
