Virginia June Davis 


    Virginia June Davis, 85, 1416 Broad Street, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, 
February 27, 2008, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended 
illness. 


    A native of Sullivan County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Henry 
and Rosa Winters Dugger. 


    Mrs. Davis was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. She had retired 
from the Bemberg Corporation. 


    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, 
Fred Crumley, Noah Howard Tyree and Homer Wright Davis, and a sister, Evelyn 
Williams. 


    Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Dillon, Elizabethton, and Frankie 
Congram, Taylorville, Utah, and a son, Tom Tyree, Elizabethton. Nine 
grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren also survive. 


    Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, 
March 8, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby 
Stout and Rev. Charlie Biggs officiating. Music will be under the direction of 
Christy Tyree, soloist. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 
from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service. Interment will 
follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers 
will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers to those who 
desire memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Living Legacy 
Partnership, 1101 North Chase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067 or to the 
American Cancer Society, 415 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643. Online

    Arrangements for the Davis family have been entrusted to Hathaway-Percy 
Funeral Home.
